Strategy and approach is
only as good as the people
who lead it and execute it.
Fp is an eclectic mix of people with different experiences and professional journeys brought together by the shared belief that commercial businesses can have possibly the largest positive impact on our world, our societies and us as individuals.
We aim to ensure those organisations perform and continue to grow while embracing purposeful strategies and behaviours.
We are part of a movement to make purposeful performance commonplace.

I began my career as an Aeronautical Engineer and my desire to understand how things work has stuck with me ever since. This has drawn me into exploring human-systems, specifically how to create high performing, purposeful businesses.
I have worked internationally as a Management Consultant, Human Resources Director (easyJet), Charity Trustee (Refugee Council) and Business Academic (University of Bath), and was one of the world’s first Chief Purpose Officers for Tate & Lyle Plc.
I believe that business holds the key to sustainable social change and set-up Farleigh Performance to work with leaders to step into this responsibility. Being part of the Bath Rugby family will enable us to disrupt our business thinking with insights and practices from sport.
My PhD research examined storytelling during organisational change and I believe now is the time to be rewriting the story of business – one organisation at a time!
It’s possible to create organisations where people achieve more than they imagined possible and make a positive contribution to society - this is my driving force, my ‘why’.
Training as an Occupational Psychologist developed my fascination with leadership and human performance. I understand how we learn and change at work, how the unpredictable and complex nature of the world today is making new demands of us.
I’ve led talent, learning and inclusion departments in retail, leisure and financial services, specialising in leadership and culture development. As a consultant I’ve worked with organisations across the FTSE 100, and published research into trust and collaboration with the University of Bath. This rich experience helps me bring perspective and insight to clients.
I believe there’s a better way to do business, a better way to ‘be’ in business, where people and communities thrive together – for profit and for a more positive impact in the world.
I have worked widely in brand, marketing and culture and found my sweet spot in helping organisations to unearth what they are at their best. This authentic definition is then embraced and embedded within them in terms of internal culture, outside of them in terms of brand and communications and, of course, right through them in terms of their vision and strategies.
I have worked with large commercial organisations to define and embed purpose, as well as more obviously purposeful charities to define strategies that make their purposes financially sustainable.
I am a practitioner of The Value's Centre cultural values assessments as well as a certified coach.
I am also a trustee to Unseen – The UK’s modern slavery charity and independent helpline.
The combination of playing Rugby for Bath Rugby, England, Barbarian's, working in the professional rugby game for over 20 years and running several successful businesses has provided me with the skills on how to be part of, and lead, a high performing team successfully.
On retiring as a player, I became Bath Rugby's first Director of Rugby and after a two-year stint I moved to Garryowen in Ireland as their Director of Rugby returning to Bath as their forwards coach at the turn of the millennium.
The return to Bath, and my hometown, saw the launch of my first company, a sports software and data analysis business followed by other businesses also in the sports and data arena. Across all my companies I worked with some of the World's leading sports organisations such as FIFA, England Rugby, Lawn Tennis Assoc., and the FA.
Upon a successful acquisition and exit I moved into consultancy, operating with organisations and individuals working on leadership and team building.
More recently I have become Bath Rugby President and am spearheading 'The President's Lounge' as well as activities with the Bath Rugby Foundation such as the Andes Challenge. I also continue to consult to organisations and have a particular interest in how we build successful teams and relationships in hybrid work environments.
With a 25+ year history of working within the education sector on skills development and learning technologies, I am passionate about finding ways to enable us to be our best selves at work, and in life more broadly. I draw my energy from working with others to create organisational cultures and environments within which we can engender and support continuous learning and fulfil our aspirations. I believe we can take some of our greatest rewards from our ‘connectedness’ with others, through sharing, collaboration and partnership, as well as contribute to bringing about social good in the world.
I am a firm believer that every person and every organisation has the capability to achieve great things within the right environment.
Electing to embark on an MEd in Leadership and Management halfway through my career ignited my interest in, and fascination with, leadership development. My motivation arose from a desire to develop my own leadership skills but also to increase my understanding of how the role of a leader can better support the development of organisational cultures and the people within them. I have worked in many and varied roles within the public and private sectors including policy development, programme management, e-learning, communications and leadership development.
I am a certified Coach and Strengthscope™ Practitioner, both of which support my main motivation to facilitate the development of others.
